PANDIT FOR MAHAMRITYUNJAYA JAAP
Maha mrityunjaya Mantra one of the oldest and most significant Mantras in Indian mythology and spirituality. The Maha Mrityunjaya Jaap addresses Lord Shiva. It is a blend of three Hindi language words i.e. ‘Maha’, which means great, ‘Mrityun’ means death and ‘Jaya’ means victory, which is translated as victory over death.
The Mantra and Meaning of the Mantra:
om tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ pushtivardhanam
purvārukamiva bandhanānmṛmrityor mokshiye maamritat
We worship Lord Shiva (three eyed), who is our nurturer. We pray him to give us liberty from confinements of death just as as cucumber gets plucked very easily from its roots.
